We spent the morning in Arcata listening to music and watching dancers. Ava enjoyed her wand and crown for a few moments and as Papa
predicted, both quickly became a direct landfill item. Lesson learned (by Mama). Ava went to bed promptly, and unusually, at 8:15 that night, so she missed any fireworks that may have been seen (she did not miss much...the fires and the fog blocked out most of the show!).
